Since the initial operation of the plant, due to factors such as poor combustion performance in the converter burners, the conversion unit has not been able to operate at full capacity for extended periods of time. To completely resolve this bottleneck issue, the center established a technical task force that worked closely with design institutes and manufacturers, and conducted multiple inspections of similar installations in China. Ultimately, it was decided to carry out on-site modifications to the 220 burner nozzles in the conversion furnace. Through the concerted efforts of all departments within the company, these on-site modifications were successfully completed, enabling the conversion unit to operate at 100% capacity stably. “Following the modification of the converter burner, the consumption of the three chemical reagents used in the plant has been significantly reduced, which also provides a solid foundation for ensuring material balance across the entire plant and for reducing costs while improving efficiency.
