All the tower equipment in the dimethyl ether unit of the ethanol plant in the Yushen Ethanol project has been successfully installed. Recently, two distillation towers – the dimethyl ether column and the methanol recovery tower – in the dimethyl ether unit of the ethanol plant at Yushen Energy & Chemical Company were successfully installed. It is understood that the diameter of the dimethyl ether column is 3.8 meters, its height is 41.3 meters, and its lifting weight is approximately 150 tons; it is mainly used in the distillation unit for the intermediate product dimethyl ether. The methanol recovery tower has a diameter of 3 meters and a height of 45.4 meters; its lifting weight is approximately 115 tons. It is primarily used for the recovery of methanol in the dimethyl ether unit. To date, a total of 108 static equipment units have been installed in the ethanol plant area. The successful installation of the two distillation towers brought a successful conclusion to the lifting work for the tower equipment in the dimethyl ether unit, and it also laid the foundation for subsequent installation tasks such as those related to pipelines, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
