The meeting invited Jiang Ying, Secretary-General of the National Coal Standardization Technical Committee, to serve as the head of the evaluation panel, with relevant experts such as Zhang Shaoqiang, President of the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association, also participating. Relevant personnel from the Science and Technology Development Department of Shaanxi Coal Group, the Marketing Group, and the project partner, the Chinese Coal Society, attended the meeting. At the meeting, the China Coal Society provided explanations regarding three enterprise standards for chemical industry use of coal issued by Shanxi Coal Group: \"Washed Coals for Semi-coke Production,\" \"Coal for Dry Powder Gasification,\" and \"Coal for Water Coal Slurry Gasification.\" Since the launch of this project in 2020, relevant professionals from the Chinese Coal Society have visited various major coal-producing mines in northern Shaanxi on multiple occasions to investigate the characteristics of the coal resources there and to gain a thorough understanding of the coal quality requirements of chemical enterprises. Based on extensive consultations with both producers and consumers, a preliminary draft of three enterprise standards for coal intended for use in the chemical industry was developed by Shaanxi Coal Group. After listening to the introductions regarding the three standards, the expert reviewers carefully discussed each standard in detail, covering the textual descriptions, the grading of indicators, the indicators related to toxic and harmful elements, and the formulation of relevant indicators. The expert group unanimously agreed that the content of the three criteria was systematically sound and highly practical, and agreed to refine the relevant details to formulate a draft for approval. This time, the research on the standards for the three coal enterprises used in chemical manufacturing by Shaanxi Coal Group has laid a solid foundation for the group to implement its standardization strategy, as well as for precise product positioning and quality control. It has filled the gap in standardization for coal used in chemical applications within Shaanxi Coal Group, enabling breakthroughs from scratch and securing a leading position in the coal industry. He Xin, deputy general manager of the Marketing and Distribution Group, said that the group will continue to increase the proportion of sales of non-electric coal, expand the customer base for high-quality chemical coal, and by establishing corporate standards, guide mining sites to produce standardized and customized products, thereby seeking new ways to sell coal from being a fuel to a raw material.
