The construction of Qili New Energy’s metallurgical coking project with an annual production capacity of 2.4 million tons began in Shuicheng Economic Development Zone. The commencement of this project is not only a significant achievement in the development of new industrialization in Shuicheng District, but also another important step in the industrial transformation and upgrading of Shuicheng Economic Development Zone; it holds milestone significance for the industrial economic development of Shuicheng District during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. On the morning of February 24, the signing ceremony for the metallurgical coke project with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons in Shuicheng Economic Development Zone was held in Conference Room 3 on the first floor of the Party School in Shuicheng District. The official signing of the project to produce 1.2 million tons of metallurgical coke per year in the Shuicheng Economic Development Zone not only helps to promote the transformation and upgrading of the traditional coal coking industry as well as the integrated development of the \"coal, electricity, sulfur, lithium, and manganese\" industries, but it also ensures that the zone can develop into a hub for resources such as gas and heat. The completion and operation of this project mark a milestone. It is understood that the Qili New Energy project, with an annual production capacity of 2.4 million tons of metallurgical coke, is located in Huntang Group, Jianshan Community, Jianshan Sub-district, within the Shuicheng Economic Development Zone. It is a key project for attracting investment in this zone. Building on the infrastructure of the 1.2 million tons per year production facility for compacted metallurgical coke developed by Guizhou Liupanshui Qisheng Coal Coking Co., Ltd., and through the joint efforts of the city, district authorities, and the Shuicheng Economic Development Zone, financing was secured to establish this new facility with an annual production capacity of 2.4 million tons of metallurgical coke. The total investment in Qili New Energy will amount to 5 billion yuan. It features 2.4 million tons of 6.25-meter coke ovens, along with facilities for processing 3.5 million tons of coal, producing 120,000 tons of LNG, 150,000 tons of methanol, and having the capacity to recover 250,000 tons of carbon dioxide. The project will create employment for 1,500 people, generate an annual industrial output value of 10 billion yuan, and yield annual tax revenues of around 300 million yuan.
