On January 12, Yueneng Chemical organized the second coordination meeting regarding the plant control system of the ethylene glycol project in the conference room at Site 2 of the temporary construction area. The meeting was chaired by the company’s chief engineer, Wang Wuping, with representatives from the company’s production technology department and engineering management department in attendance. Relevant leaders from Hangzhou HollySys Automation Co., Ltd., Honeywell (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd., Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd., and Hualu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting via video conference. The meeting featured a detailed presentation of the schedule for the control system development of the company’s ethylene glycol project. The participants had in-depth discussions on various matters, including the list of hardware components for the project’s control system, the final network architecture diagram, the delivery of configuration documents, and the detailed timeline for project progress, and reached a consensus on these issues. The meeting required that ABB and Honeywell carry out the development of distributed control systems (DCS), safety instrumented systems (SIS), and gas detection systems (GDS) in accordance with the scheduled timeline, to ensure that the control systems are completed on time. The successful holding of this coordination meeting has laid a solid foundation for ensuring the overall schedule of the company’s ethylene glycol project and for the orderly and stable progress of subsequent work on the automatic control system; it is of great significance for achieving automated and intelligent operation of the project once it is put into use.
