On October 24, 2021, the 400,000-ton per year project for producing ethylene glycol from waste gas, carried out by Hami Guanghui Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., was successfully put into operation. The Hami Guanghui ethylene glycol project is the first energy integration project in China to produce ethylene glycol using waste gas resources, enabling maximum utilization of such resources and ultimately transforming complex waste gas into effective syngas. Once completed, the project will enable the effective utilization of 3 billion cubic meters of waste gas each year, resulting in a savings of 600,000 tons of standard coal.
