Recently, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment officially accepted the environmental impact assessment documents for a project carried out by Licheng County Yuenengyuan Technology Co., Ltd., aimed at upgrading its coking facilities to a capacity of 1.28 million tons per year, with coke chambers having a height of 6.25 meters. Yufu Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Licheng County, Shanxi Province, was established in December 2018. It was founded with joint investment from Yuhua Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. in Wu’an City, Hebei Province, and Changfu Gas Coking Co., Ltd. in Licheng County; the company’s registered capital is 100 million yuan. According to the letter issued by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi Province regarding the confirmation of the coking capacity replacement for Yu Fu Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Licheng County, Shanxi Province, the coking capacity for this project comes from Changfu Gas Coking Co., Ltd. in Licheng County, Shanxi Zhonggang Energy Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., and Licheng Huatai Gas Coking Co., Ltd. Yufu Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Licheng County, Shanxi Province – 1.28 million tons per year coking project (referred to as the Shanxi Yufu 1.28 million tons per year coking project). Project type: technological upgrade. Location of construction: Xiwu Town, Licheng County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province (Licheng County Industrial Park, Changzhi City). Constructor: Yufu Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Licheng County, Shanxi Province. Construction period: two years. Total investment amount: 3,112,850,000 yuan. Approved scale and scope of the project: 1. Capacity source: confirmed by Document Jin Gong Xin Hua Gong Han [2020] No. 141, at 1.288 million tons per year ; 2. Construction details: Carbonization chamber height of 6.25 meters; JNDX3 type coke oven with 65+52 tuyeres for ramming coke ; Complementary production recovery and gas purification and reuse systems, as well as supplementary environmental protection facilities such as desulfurization and denitrification devices ; 200 tons/hour dry quenching unit. Coke oven gas is used to support the construction of hydrogen synthesis gas and hydrogen-based iron reduction plants. It does not include projects for the comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas, nor gas tanks; the gas tanks are located within the associated projects for the comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas.
