The integrated and demonstration project for zero-discharge treatment of gasification wastewater using the “Yunmei Furnace” technology is a key project in the Yunnan region under the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Science and Technology Service Network program (STS program). On November 25, an expert acceptance meeting was held via a combination of online and offline methods, and the acceptance was successfully completed. The acceptance meeting included sub-venues for Pioneer Chemicals and the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. Representatives of the acceptance experts demonstrated the construction and operational results of the model project to the experts at the Beijing venue through on-site inspections and video presentations, and they also listened to the reports presented by the project team. The project makes full use of the advantages of collaborative innovation among research institutions, enterprises, and production units to achieve zero discharge of wastewater from coal gasification. Driven by technological research and development as well as demonstration applications, it delivers significant social and environmental benefits.
