According to Zhang Hao, chairman of Zhongke Xintou New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., the newly launched project by Zhongke Xintou, which has an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons of PBAT-based biodegradable resins, is primarily focused on producing raw materials for biodegradable plastic products, with virtually zero emissions throughout the production process. Upon full operation of the project, the total output value is expected to reach 11.4 billion yuan, with tax revenues amounting to 600 million yuan. It is understood that Henan Province’s plastic restriction order came into effect this year. This project not only fills the gap in the degradable resin industry in Henan Province but will also make it the enterprise with the largest production capacity in this sector nationwide, being the only one of its kind in the province and the largest in the whole country. Furthermore, it constitutes an important effort to address plastic pollution in a thorough, organized, and effective manner, to advance the process of banning plastics, and to speed up the adjustment of related industrial chains. On November 15, 2021, ** in Zhumadian City, Henan Province, held a ceremony to sign a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Zhongke Qicheng Company for a BDO production project with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons.
