In order to actively respond to the major strategic decision of “peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality” and help Yulin City achieve its carbon reduction targets, recently, Liu Miao, Chairman of Yulin Chengtou Baisheng Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhang Hongwei, Deputy General Manager of China National Coal Group Shaanxi Yulin Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd., signed a cooperation agreement for the 1-million-ton liquid carbon dioxide capture and utilization project. Project Introduction: Yulin Chengtou Baisheng Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. was established on April 14, 2021, with a registered capital of 50 million yuan. It is a subsidiary company controlled by Yulin Chengtou Group. Under the proper leadership of all shareholders and with the strong support of relevant departments, the company has seized policy opportunities to undertake a project that utilizes coal chemical plant exhaust gases to produce 1 million tons of liquid carbon dioxide per year (500,000 tons in the first phase), 20,000 tons of ammonium bicarbonate, and 10,000 tons of industrial ammonia water; this project is part of China National Coal Group’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Once completed, the project will enable Yulin City to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by 1.011 million tons per year. It can help address the issue of industrial exhaust gas emissions from the coal chemical projects operated by Shaanxi Yulin Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. within the high-tech industrial park in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. At the same time, it transforms waste into valuable resources, facilitating comprehensive resource utilization. It is an excellent project for reducing air pollution and generating economic, social, and environmental benefits through the comprehensive utilization of waste.
