Key projects at Zhongtian Hechuang Chemical Branch commence construction Author/Source: Zhongtian Hechuang Chemical Date: 2022-04-09 Clicks: 13 On April 8, key projects such as high-salinity water desalination for salt production, high-pressure flash vapor recovery upgrades, and capacity expansion of the OCC unit, along with various technical improvement projects, began construction. The total investment in these projects amounts to 1.281 billion yuan; they are all energy-saving and emission-reduction projects aimed at responding to the call for **green development. Once completed and put into operation, they will lay a solid foundation for the sustainable and high-quality development of Inner Mongolia as well as the enterprises involved. In recent years, Zhongtian Hechuang has actively sought support from Sinopec Group and local authorities. By leveraging its existing advantages in talent, technology, and resources, it has worked to implement key projects, further develop the coal chemical industry, increase overall production volume, and enhance its competitive edge. This approach aims to promote the development of the coal chemical industry in a manner that is characterized by higher sophistication, diversification, lower carbon emissions, and greater efficiency. Recently, Zhongtian Hechuang and all parties involved in the projects have overcome the impacts of the complex pandemic situation, strictly implemented various regulations related to pandemic prevention and control, coordinated the construction efforts of all parties, and adhered rigorously to the requirements of the HSE management system. This has ensured the full commencement of various key projects and technical improvement projects, laying a solid foundation for the progress of these projects. The high-salinity water desalination salt production project features a designed processing capacity of 120 m3/h. Once completed, the high-salinity water desalination equipment will enable the produced salt to meet **environmental standards, thus accelerating the progress toward sustainable development. The high-pressure flash vapor recovery renovation project enables comprehensive utilization of resources and improves economic efficiency. At present, the foundation for the high-pressure flash vapor recovery renovation project has been compacted. The waste heat power generation project is under intense construction. Chu Xiaohua and Hu Chuanqing, the leaders of the branch office, visited the site on multiple occasions to supervise and guide the work, while Shu Haohua organized coordination meetings on site to facilitate open discussions and consultations. Due to the pandemic, the electrical and instrumentation construction subcontractors are unable to enter the site. The three main maintenance companies, Baling Dacheng, Changlian Electromechanical, and Sinopec Company 5, promptly deployed their key technical experts in electrical and instrumentation fields to provide full support for the waste heat steam power generation project. Other key projects set to commence include: the OCC expansion project, which involves building a new 110,000 tons per year OCC unit to fully convert the C4 and C5 compounds produced as by-products from the existing MTO units into ethylene and propylene products with high added value, thereby improving economic efficiency. The VOCs control project is divided into three parts, which are implemented in the Olefins Department, the Utility Department, and the Water Treatment Department. This will further raise safety and environmental protection standards as well as enhance compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The expansion of the waste dump also began on April 8th, with the expansion project for the central area of the waste dump in the Tuk Industrial Zone of the Suleige Economic Development Zone. The project was constructed by Wushen Banner Urban and Rural Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 320 million yuan and an area of 706.39 mu. The commencement of this project will further address the issue of solid waste disposal at Zhongtian Hechuang, enhance its ability to withstand risks, and promote the transformation and upgrading of its industrial structure.
