According to the statistical reports from the Production Department of Shaanxi Dongxinyuan Chemical Co., Ltd., on April 12, 18 carbonization furnaces in the lignite carbonization unit were in operation, producing 5,804 tons of lignite products that day; this daily output surpassed the highest record for similar units in the industry. This is yet another new achievement for the company, resulting from its independent innovation capabilities and continuous improvements; it involved technical upgrades to the 4 carbonization furnaces in the lignite carbonization plant to increase production and improve quality. Since the successful commissioning of the company’s devices for producing semi-coke and hydrogenating coal tar on December 12, 2016, a technical team has been formed to ensure the safe, stable, long-term, efficient, and optimal operation of these devices. By leveraging its capabilities in independent innovation, the company has carried out various technical upgrades aimed at optimizing production processes, increasing product output and quality, and reducing costs while improving efficiency. These efforts have not only ensured the safe and stable operation of the devices but also led to numerous achievements in technological innovation. The reason for the continuous increase in the daily production capacity of the semi-coke production unit is the technical upgrades carried out by the company on the 4 carbonization furnaces – improvements to their internal structure, an increase in the area of the nozzles used for injecting fuel, and measures to prevent these nozzles from getting clogged. As a result of these upgrades, a \"eaves effect\" was created, which increased the gas feed rate per furnace from 12,000 m3/h to 14,000 m3/h, and the air feed rate from 5,200 m3/h to 5,800 m3/h. This allowed the daily production of semi-coke per carbonization furnace to increase by 60 tons. It is reported that this core technological achievement was granted a **patent in 2021. Dongxinyuan Company will gradually carry out technical upgrades to the remaining 14 carbonization furnaces, and as a result, the daily production of semi-coke will increase to over 6,000 tons.
