Yulin Methanol Plant: The first 2,000-ton capacity quenching gasifier for the second-phase project arrived at the plant. Author/Source: Date: 2019-03-22. Clicks: 6. On the morning of March 21, the first 2,000-ton capacity quenching gasifier for the second-phase project of the Yulin Methanol Plant was successfully delivered to the plant. A total of 3 gasifiers are designed for this project: 2 are quenching gasifiers, and 1 is a semi-waste-heat boiler type gasifier. Among them, the 2 2000-ton cold-quenching gasification furnaces were entirely manufactured by the well-known domestic company Xi’an Nuclear Equipment Co., Ltd. The first furnace of this type to arrive today is 21.5 meters long, has an inner diameter of 3.6 meters, weighs 270 tons, and is capable of processing 2000 tons of coal per day. As the core equipment for this project, this type of gasifier utilizes the opposed multi-nozzle water-coal slurry gasification technology owned by Yankuang Group as its intellectual property. This technology is one of the most advanced water-coal slurry gasification techniques available in China; it results in lower coal and oxygen consumption compared to the levels of the first-phase installation, which is of great significance for the plant to further reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency. The successful arrival of the first gasification furnace at the plant marks the beginning of the installation of the key large-scale equipment for the plant’s phase II project, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent implementation of the process flow.
““One of the most advanced coal-water slurry gasification technologies”....? The coal slurry gasification technologies currently in use in China, which are based on domestic technology, are among the most advanced of their kind in the world.
