In recent years, with the introduction of stricter environmental emission standards by relevant authorities, the need to address environmental protection issues has become increasingly urgent. Due to its location in the Fenwei Plain, departments such as the ** of Shanxi Province and the Department of Ecology and Environment have issued local standards titled \"Shanxi Province Standards for Emissions of Air Pollutants from Boilers,\" which set new requirements for pollution sources such as industrial furnaces and boilers. As a result, it is urgent to carry out the project for improving the environmental performance of flue gas at the Fengxi Pinglu branch. After intense planning and vigorous construction, the flue gas environmental improvement project was finally put into operation successfully, with all emission parameters meeting the latest environmental standards. It is reported that in December 2021, technical efforts were made to improve the design of the desulfurization spraying system for the project; designs using fillers and gas-liquid distributors to prevent blockages were adopted in order to extend the operational cycle and improve efficiency. From January 3 to 16, 2022, technical efforts were focused on developing measures to prevent sudden accidents in the system; a redundant system design was implemented, with each absorption section operating independently and two sets of dust collectors operating as backups, thereby enhancing the ability to handle sudden accidents. From February 10 to 18, 2022, efforts were directed at addressing the issue of ammonia leakage; a gradient configuration of absorbent concentrations was used to control the ammonia leakage level, while also reducing ammonia consumption and energy use. To ensure successful completion on schedule, the project timeline was adjusted twice. Firstly, in response to issues such as the supply of project materials and the delivery of equipment during the pandemic, during the Spring Festival in 2022, all party members gave up their vacations and stayed at their work posts to advance the project’s implementation ； Secondly, for the sandblasting and rust removal of the project’s equipment, while ensuring safety and quality, a round-the-clock effort was undertaken, which allowed the workload that was originally planned to take 45 days to be completed in just 27 days. Through a series of targeted measures implemented by the project team, the estimated cost for this project was 2,447.28 yuan, while the actual investment amount was 22.3 million yuan; this resulted in savings of over 2 million yuan for the enterprise, and the task was completed with both quality and quantity met
