The major maintenance and technical upgrades to Dongxinyuan Chemical’s coking unit have been completed and the unit is now in operation. On the morning of June 26, the annual shutdown maintenance and technical upgrade project at Shaanxi Dongxinyuan Chemical Co., Ltd.’s oil production plant was essentially completed. The staff in the hydrogen production workshop carried out the final checks to ensure everything was ready for restart: they verified that the valves at the inlet and outlet of the gas tanks functioned properly, confirmed that the oxygen levels in all compressors and pipelines met the required standards, and drained water from the water seals at the inlet and outlet of the gas tanks. All preparatory work was completed, and at 11:30 on that day, the gas holder was officially fed with lignite gas; the new gas holder was also connected to the system. Two 672 screw compressors were put into operation, and by 2:30 a.m. on the 27th, hydrogen of 99.999% purity was produced, marking the successful integration of the new gas holder into the system. At 3 a.m. on June 27, all the permanent lights in the coking heaters of the oil refining plant were lit, helping to raise the temperature inside the furnaces; meanwhile, the burners were also being ignited one after another. This marked the successful completion of the annual major maintenance and renovation projects for the delayed coking unit, as well as the onset of the phase of restoring its operations. This annual major maintenance and technical upgrade project involves many tasks, has a tight schedule, and heavy responsibilities. All 15 key technical improvement projects planned for this workshop have now been completed, passed inspection, and approved. After 5 days and 5 nights of hard work, tasks such as cleaning the furnace tubes of the heating furnace, cleaning the large oil and gas lines, modifying the diesel feed oil heat exchanger by connecting it in parallel, and replacing the stainless steel pipes in the diesel heat exchanger were successfully completed. In the final stage, the operators carried out a thorough cleanup of the entire production facility, ensuring that all work was completed, all materials were removed, and the area was clean. The major maintenance and technological upgrade projects for Shaanxi Dongxinyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. in 2020 officially commenced at midnight on the 16th. The 2020 major maintenance and renovation plan includes 19 maintenance projects, which comprise 123 sub-projects; the goal is to complete the entire process of shutdown, replacement, maintenance, installation, and restart within 12 days. In December 2019, Dongxinyuan Company produced 36,461 tons of oil products, setting another record after achieving the highest monthly production level in the company’s history in November. According to the production reports, in the just-passed year of 2019, the company produced a total of 328,600 tons of oil products, representing a 29% increase compared to 253,000 tons in the previous year. It is worth noting that in the fourth quarter, the company produced 104,800 tons of oil products, exceeding the target of 102,000 tons set by its higher-level authorities for maintaining growth. In 2019, the company produced 1.27 million tons of semi-coke, an increase of 23% compared to 1.03 million tons in the previous year. A total of 439 million kWh of electricity was generated throughout the year, a decrease from 468 million kWh in the previous year; however, the average daily electricity generation still reached the full-capacity level of 1.2 million kWh. On January 24, 2020, the daily output of lightened coal tar from Dongxinyuan Company’s coal tar hydrogenation unit reached 1,413 tons, breaking through the 1,400-ton mark for the first time! Setting new records for businesses and the industry once again.
