Some people say that the product is benzene; is that really the case?

The benzene hydrogenation process involves first removing the heavy components from the crude benzene obtained from coking of raw materials; then, the light components are reacted with hydrogen under high temperature and pressure in a reactor, using special catalysts to convert unsaturated dienes and monenes into saturated hydrocarbons. Subsequent processes such as extraction and distillation are used to remove impurities such as sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen, thereby obtaining high-purity benzene, toluene, and other compounds.
