The control valve for the high conversion by-product line in hydrocracking is equipped with a mechanical minimum valve position limiter. Could you please explain what the purpose of this minimum valve position limiter is?
Prevent shutdown and maintain a certain flow rate!
To prevent the valve from opening or closing fully in the event of an accident; once the limit is reached, the valve can only open or close up to that specific position
What is a mechanical minimum valve position limiter? Isn’t it included with the valve? We have a valve like this, but it can be opened and closed fully; it seems to lack a mechanical device for setting a minimum valve position limit
