【Q&A Question 260】September 18, 2017: What is the state of the air valves when the compressor is operating at 50% and 100% load? (Unless otherwise specified, all questions and answers are based on hydrogenation units.) ) The answers to the daily questions change, and today’s answers are shown in subsequent questions. At 50%, the air valve does not operate; at 100%, it operates fully, allowing for full-load operation
The load is controlled by the loading button on the control panel; there are generally several load levels such as 0%, 50%, and 100%, and it is controlled by adjusting the number of open suction valves in the control cylinders.
At 50% load, the gas valve is opened halfway; at 100% load, the gas valve is fully closed
50% means that the suction valve on the side close to the machine is functioning properly, while the suction valve on the opposite side of the machine does not function; as a result, the compressor is operating at 50% load. 100% means that all the suction valves of the compressor are functioning properly, and the compressor is operating at mechanical full load.
At 50%, all the cover test valves operate, and the shaft side remains in the pushed-open state; at 100%, all the valves operate together.
Half of the air valves open at 50% load; All gas valves open at 100% load
What is the state of the gas valve at 50% and 100% load of the compressor? At 50% load, the air valves on both sides near the axis side operate; at 100% load, all air valves operate.
100% load: All air valves are open; half of the intake valves are operating normally while the other half are in a pressed-open state – this represents 50%
