The check valve at the outlet of the reciprocating compressor was replaced last year, and it’s not working again this year. What’s going on?
What gas is being compressed, and what is the total sulfur content in the gas? Is the valve plate corroded?
If the inlet and outlet valves of the compressor are not dirty or damaged, it is likely a problem with the check valve. We’ve had it for many years; it’s only broken once, and that was a complete failure. Otherwise, it’s worked very well.

It’s about a year, more or less. It mainly depends on the quality of the check valve; you need to take it apart and check whether there is corrosion, damage due to breaking, or scratches, and it’s also possible that the spring is the problem
