To design a PSA unit for purifying H2, the composition of the feed gas is known to be as follows: H2–92.1%, CH4–0.88%, C2H6–1.3%, C3H8–3.3%, i-C4H10–0.55%, n-C4H10–1.61%, n-C5H10–0.02%, i-C5H10–0.17%. The flow rate is 8,000 Nm3/hr. What is the approximate total investment required (including the pressure swing adsorbent for the first batch)?

How high is the pressure involved in your work? Do you need to purify hydrogen to several decimal places? The investment required isn’t large; in total, three to five million should be sufficient.
First, consider the pressure and the required purity of the product hydrogen, as these factors result in different costs. There are tens of millions of such statements at such meetings.
