Since ammonium chloride NH4Cl begins to crystallize at temperatures between 176 and 232°C, the temperature at the water injection point is usually below 200°C. But can the water injected turn into a liquid state? I also had doubts before, and after my colleague explained it, I seemed to understand a bit, but I’m still not sure! 1. The specific heat capacity and latent heat of vaporization of water are much higher than those of oil and gas, and the amount of water injected is always over 5% ; So once water enters the material, its temperature drops significantly right away ; 2. Once the mixed material enters the air cooler, it is in a cooling process, and its temperature will inevitably drop significantly ; 3. The hydrogen chloride content in the material is relatively low; if ammonium chloride is indeed formed, the amount is also very small ; In fact, the main prevention is the crystallization of ammonium thiocyanate NH4HS, which begins to crystallize at around 121°C. I’m also skeptical and hope for a more detailed explanation!

Using Aspen software for calculations: with high-pressure air cooling and water injection, at 25 t, 20 t is in the liquid phase, 5 t is vaporized; partial pressures need to be considered at 10 MPa
