What is the maximum high temperature that 15CrMo material can withstand?

Original poster, I’m not sure whether the 15CrMo you mentioned refers to plates, tubes, or forgings. Their operating temperatures are different. The maximum operating temperature for 15CrMoR plates is 550 degrees. But 475 degrees is generally sufficient. The maximum operating temperature for the pipe material is 550 degrees, but it is generally sufficient to keep it at 500 degrees. Forgings are generally similar to sheets.
Generally speaking, the higher the melting point of the steel pipe material, the higher its allowable operating temperature range. If the melting point is expressed in terms of thermodynamic temperature, 60% of the metal’s melting point Tm is defined as the upper theoretical usable temperature Tc, that is, Tc = 0.6Tm. This is because as the temperature rises, the mechanical properties of metal materials decline significantly, and the tendency for oxidation and corrosion increases accordingly. Therefore, ordinary metal materials can only operate at temperatures between 500 and 600°C for extended periods. Metals that can function at temperatures above 700°C are referred to as heat-resistant alloys; “heat resistance” refers to their ability to maintain sufficient strength and good oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Can 15CrMo withstand high temperatures? 15CrMo exhibits high thermal strength when used at 500°C–550°C. When the operating temperature exceeds 550°C, its heat strength significantly decreases.
