According to data from the Tianyancha app, Sinopec (600028) has newly obtained an invention patent grant. The title of the patent is “Hydrogenation refining catalyst and its preparation method”, the patent application number is CN202310432097.2, and the grant date is November 4, 2025. Patent Abstract: The present invention discloses a hydrogenation refining catalyst and its preparation method. Hydrofining catalysts include hydrogenation-active metal components W, Mo, and Ni, amorphous alumina, copper oxide, and graphene ; Among them, the weight ratio of the surface-phase to the bulk-phase active WO3 is 2.5:1 to 6.5:1, and the weight ratio of the surface-phase to the bulk-phase MoO3 is 2.7:1 to 6.6:1 ; The weight ratio of the surface phase to the bulk phase CuO to NiO is 2.8:1~7.3:1 ; The weight ratio of graphene in the surface phase to that in the bulk phase is 1.8:1 to 4.5:1. The preparation method is as follows: (1) The solution containing W, Mo, and Al is mixed with the first precipitant in a co-current gelation reaction to obtain the first slurry ; (2) The Ni-containing solution and the second precipitant are added dropwise in co-current to the first slurry, and a gelation reaction occurs to yield the second slurry ; (3) The second slurry is subjected to n aging treatments at a temperature of 60–98°C, filtered, and the filter cake is dried and shaped to produce a hydrogenation refining catalyst. The catalyst of the present invention features a reasonable distribution of its components, high utilization rate of active metals, and excellent hydrogenation performance, making it suitable for use in the hydrogenation of heavy distillate oils. Since the beginning of this year, Sinopec has obtained 3,802 new patent approvals, a 8.32% decrease compared to the same period last year. Based on the company’s financial figures for the first half of 2025, the company invested 6.186 billion yuan in research and development during this period, representing a 3.05% increase compared to the previous year.
