Sinopec Granted Invention Patent for “A Heavy Oil Processing Process and Processing System” 2025-08-02 According to data from the Tianyancha app, Sinopec (600028) has been granted a new invention patent titled “A Heavy Oil Processing Process and Processing System”. The patent application number is CN202211086355.8, and the grant date is August 1, 2025. Patent Abstract: The present invention discloses a heavy oil processing process and processing system. The heavy oil processing process includes the following steps: the heavy oil feedstock enters a first fluidized bed reaction zone for reaction, and after separation of the reaction products, a first gas-phase stream and a first liquid-phase stream are obtained ； The resulting first liquid-phase stream enters the second bubbling bed reaction zone for reaction; after separation of the reaction products, a second gas-phase stream and a second liquid-phase stream are obtained ； After separation, the second liquid phase stream yields light fractions and heavy fractions ； The resulting heavy distillate enters the first extraction zone, where it comes into contact with the extraction solvent to produce a first extract phase stream and a first raffinate phase stream ； The first extract phase stream enters the second extraction zone, where it comes into contact with the extraction solvent to yield a second extract phase stream and a second raffinate phase stream ； The second extraction phase stream enters the separation unit, and after the extraction solvent is recovered, an oil phase stream is obtained. A heavy oil processing system utilizing the aforementioned processing technology is also provided. The heavy oil processing process and system provided by the present invention enable boiling-bed heavy oil hydrogenation to operate at high conversion rates, while ensuring long-term stable operation of the facility. Since the beginning of this year, Sinopec has obtained 1,919 new patent approvals, a decrease of 44.36% compared to the same period last year. Based on the financial data in the company’s 2024 annual report, the company invested 15.215 billion yuan in research and development in 2024, representing a 8.92% increase compared to the previous year. According to big data analysis by Tianyancha, Sinopec Corporation has invested in 263 companies in total and participated in 15,587 bidding projects ； Regarding property-related clues, there are 106 trademark records, 88,833 patent records, and 1,175 copyright records ； In addition, the company holds 40 administrative licenses.
