Against this backdrop, the holding of this conference in Panzhihua is not only a positive response to relevant strategies but also a strategic move based on the region’s own advantages. Luo Ming, a second-level inspector from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, said in his speech that Sichuan attaches great importance to the development of the hydrogen energy industry; it has included this industry among the 17 key industrial chains in the province, and at present a complete industrial chain for hydrogen production, storage, transportation, processing, and utilization has been established. As an important growth engine and model area for the development of hydrogen energy industry in our province, Panzhihua bears the significant mission of exploring pathways, accumulating experience, and creating models. It is hoped that Panzhihua and the enterprises along the industrial chain, taking advantage of this conference, will enhance friendship and deepen cooperation in order to jointly accelerate the development of the hydrogen energy industry. Liu Zhitao, member of the Standing Committee of the Panzhihua Municipal Party Committee and vice mayor of the city, gave a presentation on investment opportunities in Panzhihua’s hydrogen energy industry at the meeting. Representatives from organizations involved in hydrogen energy projects also spoke, including Lu Hongyan, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Dongfang Electric (Chengdu) Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd.; Wang Chenggang, assistant to the director of the Sixth Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation; Lu Yanghui, deputy general manager of **Power Investment Group Science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd.; and Wang Qiang, general manager of Sichuan Hongjian Heavy Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. At the meeting, Panzhihua City released three lists related to the hydrogen industry: a list of investment opportunities, a list of industrial policies, and a list of supply and demand aspects, focusing on the entire industrial chain for hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization. Among them, the list of investment opportunities includes 18 projects, with a total investment amount exceeding 10 billion yuan. As a clean, efficient, and renewable secondary energy source, hydrogen is a key element in building a new energy system and advancing the achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals. In recent years, Sichuan Province has attached great importance to the development of the hydrogen energy industry, considering it a key area for new-type industrialization. It has included this industry among the 17 key industrial chains in the province, and has taken targeted measures to foster its growth. Through more than a decade of efforts, Sichuan has developed a complete industrial chain for hydrogen production, storage, transportation, refueling, and utilization, and is at the forefront of the country in terms of technology, products, and promotion and application.
