The environmental impact assessment document for Jiangxi Lihua Chemical’s trichloroethylene and related projects was approved 2025-06-24 17:09:01 On June 23, the Jiujiang Environmental Protection Bureau issued a decision regarding the approval of the environmental impact assessment document for these projects carried out by Jiangxi Lihua Chemical Co., Ltd., and made this decision public. It is understood that the total investment in this project amounts to 500 million yuan. It is located in the southern factory area of Jiangxi Lihua Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., within the Mawei Industrial City of the Ruichang Economic Development Zone in Jiangxi Province. To support the expansion of the tetrachloroethylene industry chain, a new facility with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons of chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE) is planned to be built, along with facilities for producing 1,000 tons of trifluoroethylene (TFE) per year; in addition, a facility with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of trifluorotrichloroethane (R113) will also be constructed. The project is planned to be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, a plant with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons of chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE) will be built, with 500 tons of trifluoroethylene (TrFE) produced as a by-product; simultaneously, a plant with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons of trifluorotrichloroethane (R113) will also be constructed.
