On December 1, the Yichang Ecology and Environment Bureau published a draft of the environmental impact assessment report for Hubei Heyuan New Materials Co., Ltd.’s project to expand its production capacity of electronic-grade nitrogen trifluide by 4,500 tons per year (Phase I), seeking public comments. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Expansion of the 4,500-ton per year electronic-grade nitrogen trifluide production facility (Phase I) ; Construction unit: Hubei Heyuan New Materials Co., Ltd ; Construction location: Area B, Yaojiagang Chemical Industrial Park, Yichang City, Hubei Province ; Project investment: The total investment amounts to 683.71 million yuan, with the first phase requiring an investment of around 483 million yuan ; Project nature: Renovation and expansion ; Construction contents: The project will be built in three phases. Phase 1 involves \"expanding the nitrogen trifluoride production facility with a capacity of 3,000 tons per year, as well as the storage and filling systems and related auxiliary facilities.\" Phase 2 entails expanding the nitrogen trifluoride production facility to a capacity of 1,500 tons per year.
