On March 27, the Chenzhou Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau accepted the environmental impact assessment documents for the industrialization project of perfluoropolyether oil carried out by Hunan Nonferrous Chenzhou Fluorine Chemistry Co., Ltd., and made them public. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Industrialization project of perfluoropolyether oil by Hunan Nonferrous Chenzhou Fluorine Chemistry Co., Ltd.; Location: The existing vacant land within Chenzhou Fluorine Chemistry Company in Suxian District, Chenzhou City; Contractor: Hunan Nonferrous Chenzhou Fluorine Chemistry Co., Ltd.; Nature of the project: Expansion and pilot-scale industrialization; Investment amount: 66.514 million yuan; Main products and production scale: 100 tons per year of perfluoropolyether oil; Characteristics of the project: This industrialization project is carried out within the existing factory premises of Chenzhou Fluorine Chemistry Company, using internationally advanced equipment for the production of perfluoropolyether oil. The raw materials include hexafluoroepoxypropane (HFPO), hexafluoropropylene (HFP), cesium fluoride (CsF), and tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether (TG). The production process involves purifying the raw materials and then carrying out low-temperature polymerization to obtain perfluoropolyether acyl fluoride (PFPE-COF) polymer mixtures with different molecular weights. These mixtures are then distilled and filtered to remove TG, CsF, HFP, and oligomers. The resulting PFPE-COF is further fluorinated using fluorine gas to produce the final product.
