Flame-retardant, heat-insulating, and high-temperature-resistant new materials have been widely used in national defense equipment and the high-end equipment manufacturing industry. They are utilized in a wide range of applications—from structural to non-structural components, from personal protection gear to military supplies and weapons systems, as well as in aerospace, ground-based applications, and ships. In line with the future development requirements for advanced equipment, the use of these new materials must contribute to making product structures lighter, multifunctional, and more stable in performance. To further facilitate the exchange and demonstration of technological advancements and innovative applications of new flame-retardant, heat-insulating, and high-temperature-resistant materials, the “2021 (8th) Forum on New Flame-Retardant, Heat-Insulating, and High-Temperature-Resistant Materials for Military and Civilian Use” is scheduled to be held from April 8 to 10 at the Mingdu Hotel in Wuxi. The event is jointly organized by the Conference Platform for Dual-Use New Materials Technology and Applications, Zhongzhuang Guoke (Beijing) New Materials Research Institute, and the Journal of Nanjing Normal University. Experts from China’s ordnance industry, aerospace sector, shipbuilding industry, CRRC, as well as defense research institutes and academies will be invited to give presentations and engage in discussions regarding the latest research progress and existing challenges related to these materials. We sincerely invite leaders, experts, scholars, engineering and technical personnel, and colleagues from relevant enterprises and institutions to attend the conference (participants from overseas companies are not welcome). New types of environmentally friendly flame retardants and composite processing technologies for various functional materials/coatings ; 10. Research Progress and Applications of Chemical Materials such as Flame-Retardant, Heat-Insulating, and High-Temperature-Resistant Silicones, as Well as Elastomeric Materials ; 11. Research and development of high-temperature resistant ceramic materials and thermal insulation coatings, as well as their manufacturing processes ; 12. Research and application of high-temperature resistant resins and composite materials, as well as thermal insulation composite materials such as basalt fibers ; 13. Research, development, and application of flame-retardant, heat-insulating, high-temperature resistant polymer materials ; 14. New methods and technologies for testing new flame-retardant, heat-insulating, and high-temperature resistant materials ; 【Target participants】Research institutions, universities, enterprises, as well as units involved in the development of marine, land, and aviation applications for flame-retardant, heat-insulating, and high-temperature resistant new materials.
