Jiangxi Shilei: Lithium hexafluorophosphate production capacity of 36,000 tons per year; revenue expected to reach 1.87 billion yuan by 2025

According to Xinzhoubang, lithium hexafluorophosphate is a key raw material for lithium-ion battery electrolytes. The company has established its presence in this area by making investments in Jiangxi Shilei Fluorine Materials Co., Ltd. Once the technical upgrades are completed by the end of 2025, Shilei Fluorine Materials’ current production capacity for lithium hexafluorophosphate will reach 36,000 tons per year; further expansion plans are expected based on market demand. The current rise in the price of lithium hexafluorophosphate is gradually affecting the conductivity of electrolytes. The fourth quarter represents a transitional phase in terms of prices, and new contracts will be priced with full consideration given the latest prices of raw materials, thereby further improving the efficiency of this price transmission. According to Sinocarbon’s 2025 annual report, Jiangxi Shilei Fluorine Materials Co., Ltd. achieved revenue of 1.87 billion yuan in 2025. It is understood that at present, Jiangxi Shilei Fluorine Materials has an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, 36,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate, and 80,000 tons of lithium-ion battery electrolyte. Furthermore, on March 23, 16.33 hectares of land for Jiangxi Shilei Fluorine Materials’ Yichang subsidiary’s project to produce 60,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate was officially sold (for more details, see: Yichang Shilei’s 1-billion-yuan project to acquire land; production of 60,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate is expected to be completed by 2028). The scheduled start date for construction is July 29, with completion expected by July 28, 2028. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the project aims to produce 60,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate solid salt and 200,000 tons of electrolyte per year.
