On January 30, the environmental protection acceptance monitoring report for the energy-saving renovation project of the nitrogen trifluoride production process at Haohua Gas Co., Ltd. was made public on relevant websites. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Energy-saving renovation project for the nitrogen trifluoride production process； Construction nature: Expansion ； Construction unit: Haohua Gas Co., Ltd ； Construction location: No. 12, Daonan Road, Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone (Petroleum and Chemical Park), Mengjin District, Luoyang City ； Project approval: On July 15, 2024, the Management Committee of the Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone in Mengjin District, Luoyang, approved the energy-saving renovation project for the nitrogen trifluoride production process ； Start date: October 8, 2025 ； Completion date: November 1, 2025 ； Debugging period: January 10, 2026 – January 31, 2026 ； Main content: In line with the demands of market development, Haohua Gas has upgraded Phase 3’s nitrogen trifluoride production capacity through renovations. Without increasing the number of electrolytic cells or investment costs, it has achieved this by ① raising the electrolytic current density and improving the efficiency of the rectifiers, thereby increasing the average operating current from 5315A to 7500A ； ②Optimize process parameters to achieve automated control of the cell and batching system operations ； ③The effective electrolysis time was increased, rising from 8000 hours to 8500 hours. Following these modifications, the production capacity of the third-phase nitrogen trifluoride production line increased from 3,000 t/a to 4,500 t/a, resulting in better economic benefits. Scope and content of acceptance: The main components to be accepted for the completion inspection of this project include the nitrogen trifluoride production line in Phase 3, as well as the associated auxiliary facilities and environmental protection systems. It was established in Luoyang in 2020 by Haohua Chemical Technology Group Co., Ltd. as the headquarters for its electronic chemicals business. It is a technology-driven enterprise formed by integrating all the assets and personnel related to gas research, production, and sales from the Liming Chemical Research Institute (Luoyang), Guangming Chemical Research Institute (Dalian), and Southwest Chemical Research Institute (Chengdu). The Luoyang facility of Haohua Gas takes over some of the fluoride gas-related operations from the Liming Institute, and it serves as the main base for the research and production of fluorine-containing electronic gases.
