Most of us have experienced this: after using a hose to connect an utility station to a certain device or pipeline and pressurizing the connection, we close the valves at both ends and then need to remove the hose. At that point, however, there is pressure inside the hose; such connections are usually made using quick connectors, and removing these connectors can be dangerous, as it may cause injury or at least produce a loud noise that is startling. On the hose station of the unit we were previously in, pressure relief drains were installed after the valves of each utility pipeline, which prevented the aforementioned issue from occurring ; But I checked the relevant design specifications, and it seems there are no design requirements in this regard; moreover, all other devices I’ve seen do not have pressure relief drains. I wonder if anyone has any handy tips to avoid this situation?

I added a small pressure relief valve in the middle of the hose.
