The alkaline solution from the tank spilled out on site; it’s everywhere. How can it be cleaned up quickly? It is suspected that after a vehicle arrived to unload materials, the steam used for insulation inside the tank was turned up to a higher level; three hours later, that steam was released, causing the lid to fly off and alkali solution to spread everywhere. How should this situation be dealt with?
Cover with sand or lime, then collect it, and rinse the area with plenty of water
It can also be neutralized with weakly acidic water.
We’re using sand and soil now, and rinsing it with fire-fighting water, but it doesn’t seem to clean it thoroughly
I want to get weak acid, but it’s not available. It can be delivered within two days of purchase, but that’s not fast enough
A large amount of water is used to neutralize it; generally, acid isn’t available on site!
