Could an expert please help answer this: For steel structures with fire protection requirements, is it necessary to apply anti-corrosion paint three times? Is it sufficient to apply fire-resistant coating directly? Or just apply the primer. Thank you!
Normally, only a primer is applied. Sometimes, after the fireproof coating has been applied, a topcoat is applied to the surface, especially in the case of thin and thick fireproof coatings
Apply only two coats of primer, or add 3 more coats of intermediate paint, and then carry out fire protection measures; if the design requirements dictate it, a fire-resistant topcoat shall be applied after the fire protection treatment is completed``
