I found several values online regarding the solubility of MTBE in water, and they all differ. So, is MTBE actually water-soluble or not?
Methyl tert-butyl ether has an ether bond; it is hydrophilic but not completely soluble in water. If you have MTBE samples, you can just conduct the experiment with water
It’s not for conducting tests; it can’t analyze anything. There are standards (GB50151) stating that for such media, solvent-resistant foam should be used
It is said that it does not decompose easily when dissolved in water, thus contaminating the water body
