On-site prefabrication of supports and hangers

Hello everyone. The specifications state that mechanical processing should be used for the on-site prefabrication of pipe supports and hangers, with oxygen cutting to be avoided. What is the reason for this? Thank you.
Wasn’t it asked before? Oxyacetylene cutting – it leaves the surface looking like it’s been gnawed by dogs. How is it supposed to be used? Further polishing and patch welding are still needed.
