I moved to a new workplace during this period, and I noticed this issue while reviewing the construction drawings. I asked the workers about it, and they said they would build according to the way the drawings were drawn. The problem is that the outlet of the tank is equipped with a pneumatic valve, which is directly connected to a rigid pipe (steel pipe) about 1.5 meters long; beneath this steel pipe there is a support, and from there a flexible connection extends. The steel pipe connected to the valve outlet extends in a straight line. I was a bit confused at the time, because soft connections are used to prevent the storage tank from sinking, as well as pipeline deformation or vibrations caused by sweeping. It is installed to prevent the tank from tearing. So, if a steel pipe is added and a pier is placed beneath it, then if the storage tank sinks and the pier props up the steel pipe, it could instead cause the tank body to tear. I can’t figure it out; please, someone knowledgeable can help and explain it.

This depends on the specific pipe diameter and the layout of the pipelines installed on site. It’s not necessarily possible to determine whether the meaning is correct based solely on the reactions you’ve shown. Yes, design should still take precedence. If there are any objections, it is possible to request the design institute to make design changes in accordance with relevant standards or by citing the reasons for potential risks. It’s a design flaw; have it modified. If the cylinder valve is too large, a bracket is needed for support. The support point of the bracket is located on the tank foundation, keeping pace with the displacement of the tank body. In this way, when the storage tank sinks, the valves, hard pipes, etc. sink along with it.

In fact, it’s possible to make the valve support and the tank foundation into one unit; this is exactly what we did for our 100,000-liter tanks. If the valve is too large, it can be hung on the tank wall using steel wires
