Under what conditions are construction drawings upgraded to a new version, for example, from Version 0 to Version 1, and then to Version 2? What is the relationship between design changes and the upgrade of drawing versions? This question is asked because before 2005, there were very few changes in the versions of the drawings at construction sites, but design changes occurred frequently ； However, in recent years, the drawing version has been updated every three to five months, and design change orders start to be issued once a certain version is reached. There are a large number of drawings that have been upgraded, and it is necessary to check each one for any differences from the previous version (changes are generally not indicated on the upgraded drawings). If important changes go unnoticed, it could lead to construction quality issues, which is a waste of resources in terms of technical management. It definitely can’t be done that way; changes can be made after the final product is published, and the ultimate version will be the as-built drawings.
But this is reality; those who work in construction surely understand this. And this is a common phenomenon; it’s similar both at home and abroad.
