However, current standards do not specify a minimum capacity, which results in smaller tanks with capacities of just a few dozen cubic meters also requiring installations such as breather valves and flame arrestors. I remember that companies generally treat such equipment as atmospheric pressure vessels ; Some also say that atmospheric pressure storage tanks refer to those with a capacity of over 1,000 cubic meters, but no evidence can be found for this. Even in the smallest storage tanks, if the material stored is flammable or explosive, components such as breather valves and flame arresters are essential; for ordinary materials, a vent pipe is sufficient.
