2019 Personal Work Summary: Amidst a busy schedule, 2019 is coming to an end. The work done throughout the year was generally smooth, but there were also some challenges. With the strong support and assistance of my colleagues, and through our collective efforts, I was able to complete all the tasks assigned by my supervisors satisfactorily. Based on the work carried out throughout 2019, a summary of the year’s activities is as follows: I. Completion of work tasks: 1. Performance of workshop operations: From January to July 2019, the production facilities operated steadily, with a total output of over 7,600 tons, representing a 4% increase compared to the previous year. Among them, the output of A ester was over 4,770 tons, remaining unchanged on a year-on-year basis ； The production of B ester exceeded 2,360 tons, representing a year-on-year increase of around 10% ； Approximately 155 tons of C ester were produced, representing a year-on-year increase of around 17% ； Approximately 225 tons of D-ester were produced, remaining unchanged compared to the same period last year ； Approximately 77 tons of E ester were produced; approximately 20 tons of F ester were produced. Neither of these two products was manufactured during the same period in 2018. The specific work summary is as follows: ① From February to April, all metering pumps in the facility will be serviced, with replacement of components and cleaning of oil residues inside the equipment. All maintenance plans and standards for the equipment will be established, and training will be provided to workshop staff on the skills needed for routine equipment inspections. A system for equipment inspection, maintenance, and hygiene will also be put into place ； ②From June to July, thoroughly clean the storage tanks for raw materials and products in the tank area to prevent quality issues arising from storage problems in the future ； Dryers are added to the storage tanks for ester raw materials and products in Tank Area D, in order to reduce the water content of the products and ensure their quality ； ③Participated in revising the process flow diagrams for new projects as well as the drawings related to environmental protection measures for exhaust gases in the existing plant, and worked on the drawings for new equipment installed in the production facilities ； Organize team leaders to revise workshop operating procedures and process cards ； ④In July, the workshop organized staff to conduct a thorough inspection of the instruments and control valves on site, as well as carry out maintenance work, thereby ensuring the smooth progress of production ； ⑤Two major maintenance campaigns are organized in January and May to service some control valves and check the operation of key equipment ； Add emergency shutdown transfer pipelines to the plant to reduce the workload associated with manual operations during emergencies and improve the plant’s safety ； Add an induced draft pipeline system to the second-phase installation to reduce the emission of unpleasant odors at the site ； Replace system six with R2304, increase the storage capacity for finished products, and reduce fluctuations caused by system switching in order to improve product quality. 2. Work progress of the Quality and Technology Department: Since the establishment of the Quality and Technology Department in August, our department has formulated and improved various operational documents as well as the relevant forms for different projects, based on the product’s technical specifications. This has enabled quality management to be standardized and organized, thereby avoiding situations where there is no basis for actions to be taken ； Some suppliers were evaluated and classified, providing a basis for the procurement department. Our quality control staff inspected over 2,000 samples in total. Regarding the packaging barrels, three batches were rejected outright due to substandard quality, and the supplier was ordered to replace more than 200 such defective barrels. The enterprise standards for all products have been revised, and the testing standards and methods contained therein have been checked ； The detection method for the inhibitor (MEHQ) in the product was established, and the detection methods for acidity and color were improved ； A new reaction inhibitor (701) was selected and added to the reaction process in System 2 in order to reduce production costs. The laboratory conducted experiments on the product compatibility of the packaging barrel materials and sealing gaskets, as well as tests using cyclohexyl acrylate. It also carried out tests on color changes of D-ester and F-ester at different concentrations of polymerization inhibitors, along with tests on F-ester and G-ester. As a result, first-hand data and samples of this product were obtained, providing a technical foundation for future production. II. Issues and shortcomings in operations ① Product quality problems: In June, E-ester led to multiple returns and exchanges by customers due to issues with the packaging containers, causing significant negative impacts and financial losses for the company ； ②Equipment failure issues: The system’s five-claw vacuum pump is malfunctioning, and the system’s six-vacuum unit experiences frequent failures; timely inspection, maintenance, and prevention measures have not been implemented ； ③In March, an incident occurred in the workshop where the wrong inhibitor was used, which indicates that training and supervision of the staff on site are not sufficient ； ④Although I was involved in the review of the process flow for the new project, I am not familiar enough with the new process flow itself; I do not fully understand the principles and structure of the equipment, and my knowledge in this regard is insufficient ； The spirit of the documents in the quality management system is not fully understood, and some materials, processes, and systems are not yet optimized for our quality inspection work. ⑤Some employees left the company, and since the psychological state of the staff was not assessed in advance, no proper preventive measures or backup personnel were put in place, which made subsequent work more difficult. ⑥The detection method for the new inhibitor hydroquinone (HQ) has not yet been finalized; although three or four detection methods were tried, the final test results still contained errors, requiring further testing. III. Directions and tasks for work in the new year: After the company established a new Quality and Technology Department in August, my job responsibilities and scope have changed compared to before; they have become more detailed and specific. Our department is responsible for quality and technical oversight tasks such as inspecting raw materials upon arrival at the company, analyzing the production process, checking finished products when they enter or leave the warehouse, conducting routine tests, testing new products, and testing the properties of various raw materials and auxiliary materials. I must not slack off in my efforts at all; I suddenly realize that my knowledge and skills are no longer sufficient, and it is necessary to keep learning new knowledge and skills in order to be competent for the new job responsibilities. Therefore, in 2020 we must strive to achieve the following: ① Continue to strengthen learning in order to improve our capabilities. The foundation for enhancing one’s qualities lies in learning – learning about process knowledge and the principles and structure of equipment, learning about instruments and methods used for analysis and testing, and learning about quality management concepts. Technically, to make comprehensive progress, one must be capable of handling it and do a good job ； In terms of quality, it is necessary to fully implement the company’s quality policies and objectives, hold oneself to high standards at all times, learn from experience in quality management, and continue to improve through work – only in this way can one enhance one’s professional capabilities and ensure that quality management is carried out to the best possible standard. ②One should fulfill duties conscientiously and improve the quality of work. After being transferred to the Quality and Technology Department, it is even more important to uphold a work attitude of dedicating oneself to one’s tasks, loving what one does, and delving deeply into it, and to carry out work with a strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm. Regularly organize and participate in various quality management and technical training sessions within the department, thereby improving one’s own capabilities as well as the overall skills of the department’s employees. It is also necessary to identify and address any gaps, take preventive measures, so as to better accomplish various tasks. ③Comprehensive training is essential; particular emphasis should be placed on providing all employees in the Quality and Technology department with training in analysis and testing procedures. Special attention should be given to the use and maintenance of new equipment, and training should be offered to everyone involved. The goal is to quickly build a team with high technical skills and excellent quality. Building on the existing analytical instruments, efforts should be made to improve the accuracy of testing methods and reduce errors. The laboratory should build a technical foundation for new products, utilize existing resources to test the products of new projects, and gather relevant data in order to prepare for their production. In summary, I would like to thank all the leaders for their support and understanding at work in 2019. In 2020, our department will continue to improve various quality management systems, enforce strict standards in technical services and quality control, earnestly comply with all the company’s inspection requirements, and complete all the tasks assigned by the company, so as to contribute to the stable development of the enterprise. **** December 18, 2019
