The supervisor raised the issue, saying that it would be better to add a safety passage to larger platforms, but he couldn’t find any standard specifications addressing this point

5.2.26 The safety evacuation passages of the equipment’s framework or platform shall comply with the following provisions:
1 The framework platform of a combined platform or equipment for combustible gases, liquefied hydrocarbons, and combustible liquids shall be equipped with no less than 2 ladders leading to the ground as safety evacuation routes. A single ladder leading to the ground may be provided in the following situations: 1) The length of the platform for equipment containing Class A gases and Class A or BA liquids is less than or equal to 8 m ; 2) The length of the framework platform for Class B gases, Class Bb, and Class C liquids is less than or equal to 15 m ; 3) The length of the combined platform for Class A gases and Class A and BA liquids is less than or equal to 15 m ; 4) The length of the combined platform for Class B gases and Class B/B and Class C liquids is less than or equal to 25 m. 2 Adjacent frameworks and platforms should be connected by walkways; the walkways that connect adjacent platforms can serve as a safety evacuation route ; 3 The distance between adjacent safe evacuation routes should not exceed 50m.
