Dear experts, regarding the construction specifications for insulation of chemical processing equipment, there are relatively comprehensive guidelines for pipelines, but the provisions for equipment are rather general. In practical situations, when carrying out insulation work on the tops of storage tanks, there are no clear rules regarding the arrangement and quantity of support sheets used. Many storage tanks have only radial support sheets, with no circumferential support sheets; as a result, the insulation sheeting fails to be fixed properly, and the number of rivets used to secure it to the support framework is insufficient, leading to easy detachment of the insulation layer. The design drawings only state that construction should be carried out in accordance with the specifications, but actual guidelines on this matter cannot be found. The construction party believes that the quality of the work is fine. How should this issue be addressed?
