For transferring unloaded materials, which type of pump is generally suitable? What are the advantages and disadvantages of pneumatic diaphragm pumps and sliding vane pumps? With such a low net positive suction head, can it be unloaded?
Do you mean unloading by vehicle when you talk about “unloading”? If vehicle unloading is related to the vapor pressure of the medium, compressors are generally the better choice for liquefied hydrocarbons; slurry pumps can also be used, but their performance is not as good as that of compressors.
It is for unloading oils and chemicals from vehicles, so which pump should be chosen?
Centrifugal pumps don’t have any problems at all, so there’s no need to worry too much!
