The classification and tasks related to equipment maintenance are determined based on changes in the technical conditions during actual use; Structure of the device ; Conditions of use ; Environmental conditions, etc., are determined. It involves grouping items with similar levels of wear and aging based on the patterns of these phenomena, and carrying out maintenance before normal wear and aging occur and before the end of the device’s useful life. This helps to keep the equipment in good condition, identify and eliminate potential faults, prevent premature damage to the equipment, and ensure its proper operation. Equipment maintenance tasks are classified, based on the volume of work and level of difficulty, into routine maintenance, level 1, level 2, and level 3 maintenance, as well as regular overhauls. I. Daily maintenance: The equipment maintenance tasks that operators must carry out during each shift include cleaning, refilling oil, making adjustments, replacing certain parts, checking for lubrication issues, abnormal noises, oil leaks, safety aspects, and any signs of damage. Routine maintenance is carried out in conjunction with regular inspections and patrols; it is a type of equipment maintenance that does not require dedicated working time. II. Equipment Maintenance and Repair The maintenance of equipment is an important aspect of its proper use; mandatory maintenance systems must be adopted to replace the practice of repairing equipment as soon as it breaks down, using repairs as a substitute for proper maintenance, and engaging in frequent thorough disassemblies. The maintenance of equipment involves, under the guidance of a preventive approach, organizing the various maintenance tasks according to their frequency of occurrence and carrying them out on a scheduled basis. Regular equipment maintenance is divided into: first-level maintenance, second-level maintenance, third-level maintenance, and routine maintenance. 1 Level 1 maintenance (weekly): An indirect form of preventive maintenance that involves regular inspections along with routine repairs. Its main tasks include: inspecting, cleaning, and adjusting the components of the automation line’s transmission mechanism and conveyor belts ; Inspect the oil pump and clear the oil circuit; check the quality and level of oil in the tank ; Remove burrs from all moving surfaces ; Inspect and adjust various indicator instruments and safety protection devices ; Any potential faults or abnormalities that are detected must be resolved, as well as leaks and other such issues. After primary maintenance, the equipment is required to be clean and bright in appearance ; The oil flow is unobstructed and the oil sight glass is clear and bright ; Flexible operation, normal functioning ; Electrical safety protection is in place, with complete and reliable indicating instruments. Maintenance personnel should keep records of the main aspects of maintenance, potential hazards and abnormalities identified and resolved during the maintenance process, test run results, the precision of the produced components, operational performance, as well as any existing problems. Level 1 maintenance is primarily carried out by operators, with the assistance and guidance of specialized maintenance personnel (machine fitters, refrigeration technicians, electricians). Level 2 maintenance (monthly) is a type of maintenance aimed at maintaining the technical condition of the equipment. The scope of work for level 2 maintenance falls between that of routine repairs and minor repairs; it also involves some tasks related to medium-scale repairs. It focuses on repairing or replacing worn or damaged components of the equipment. Secondary maintenance requires completing all the tasks of primary maintenance; it also involves cleaning all lubricated parts, checking the quality of the lubricant according to the oil change schedule, and performing cleaning and oil replacement. Check the dynamic technical condition and key precision parameters of the equipment (noise, vibration, temperature rise, oil pressure, waviness, surface roughness, etc.), adjust the level of installation, replace or repair components, grind worn moving guide surfaces, fix areas where precision has deteriorated, calibrate the instruments installed on the machine, repair safety devices, clean or replace motor bearings, and measure insulation resistance, among other things. After secondary maintenance, the accuracy and performance are required to meet the process specifications; there should be no oil, air, or electricity leaks, and parameters such as noise, vibration, pressure, and temperature rise must be within standard limits. Before and after the secondary maintenance, the dynamic and static technical conditions of the equipment should be assessed, and thorough maintenance records should be kept. Secondary maintenance is carried out mainly by professional technicians (machine fitters, refrigeration repair technicians, electricians), with the assistance of operators. 3. Level 3 maintenance (major equipment overhauls twice a year): To standardize level 3 maintenance of equipment, it is necessary to consider factors such as the wear and tear of various components, performance levels, degree of precision degradation, and the likelihood of failures. During the off-peak production periods in August and during the Spring Festival, each branch office shall, based on the usage status of the equipment, formulate maintenance plans and schedules for each piece of equipment, as well as plans for replacing spare parts and estimates of maintenance costs. These plans are then submitted to the company’s Construction Department for review and compilation; once approved by the general manager, they are put into effect. The maintenance tasks include all those outlined under level 2 maintenance, as well as those that require shutdown for repairs. All records related to equipment maintenance and repair are filed with the company’s Construction Department for archiving. 4 Regular maintenance (inspection and repair of special equipment): The regular inspection and repair of special equipment and facilities are carried out in accordance with the specified inspection cycles for such equipment. Boilers, pressure vessels, safety valves, pressure gauges, lifting equipment, high-voltage electrical devices, and weighing instruments are inspected on an annual basis (or every 6 months). These inspections are usually conducted by qualified external organizations. When special equipment malfunctions and requires repair, professional technicians must be involved in the repair work in compliance with relevant technical standards. If no professional technicians are available or if the necessary qualifications do not exist to carry out the repair, then qualified organizations and technicians should be hired to do the job. All using units must cooperate to ensure the safe and proper operation of the equipment and facilities.
