If the concentration of the amine solution is too low, its ability to absorb hydrogen sulfide decreases, resulting in a lower sulfur content in the rich liquid. The partial pressure of hydrogen sulfide in the gas phase at the upper part of the regeneration tower drops, and the temperature rises. If the flow rate of the heating steam is not adjusted in time, the cooling load at the top of the tower increases, as does the amount of acidic water.
