The trays in the light hydrocarbon recovery desorption tower are blocked, which prevents the oil inside the tower from flowing downward smoothly; instead, it returns to the buffer tank through the vapor phase at the top of the tower. A solution is needed
Has the tower been flooded, or are the operating conditions too far removed from the design conditions?
If the gas-liquid load is fine, consider whether the tray is clogged
It is suspected that salt has accumulated on the trays; earlier, the desorption tower was emptied and washed with water, but the result was not satisfactory!

If salt builds up on the trays or the downcomers become blocked, steam should be used at the bottom of the tower during water washing, with a large volume of water being used. If the liquid level at the bottom of the tower rises slowly, it is likely that the downcomers are blocked; in such cases, a large amount of water must be used to force the flow through them. If this does not work, the downcomers need to be removed for inspection.
