Why is the color of the effluent yellowish during the regeneration backwashing of the resin tower? Please, fellow sailors, help answer.
The resin breakdown is quite severe; when the iron level is high, the water produced after backwashing generally does not turn yellow.
The iron ions are within normal ranges; there is a small amount of resin, but the water flow becomes yellow during backwashing.
