Does this outlet flow refer to gas or water? However, both the gas outlet flow rate and the liquid outlet flow rate can only be determined after applying heat balance and mass balance calculations. Generally, the temperature of the gas coming out of the gasifier is around 240 to 250 degrees; after passing through the scrubber tower, the water vapor content in the gas increases, meaning that the volume fraction of water vapor in the wet gas rises. If the original poster just wants to calculate the dry basis components and water vapor components in the gas flow rate at the outlet of the scrubber, then it’s simple. The gas exiting the scrubber tower has a temperature, pressure, and wet-base standard flow rate. The saturation pressure of water vapor at the current temperature is determined using the temperature value; by dividing this saturation pressure by the pressure indicated on the gauge, the volume percentage of water vapor is obtained. This value is then multiplied by the wet-base standard flow rate indicated on the flow meter to get the volume flow rate of water vapor in the wet-base gas. What remains is the flow rate of the dry-base gas.
Then, by multiplying this value by the wet-basis standard flow rate indicated on the flow meter, the volume flow rate of water vapor in the wet-basis gas is obtained; what remains is the flow rate of the dry-basis gas.
