Is the analysis incorrect, which suggests that salt deposition in the inlet filter causes low inlet pressure and a lower boiling point, thereby leading to vaporization?
It can be analyzed as follows: Salting out and blockage of the inlet filter result in low inlet pressure; the liquid temperature remains relatively constant. Since the inlet pressure is below the saturation vapor pressure, cavitation occurs; Low flow rate and high suction force can cause damage to the mechanical seal. Treatment: Switch the pump and clean the filter.
The imported filter should allow for separate removal and cleaning, right? Salty substances can generally be removed by simply rinsing them with water! I just think the issue of you not having salt should be resolved; otherwise, you’ll still have to do similar repetitive tasks in the future!
How to solve it? Seek advice on stabilizing the tower top reflux pump
If salt accumulation occurs frequently, a deoxygenated water line can be added at the inlet to carry out regular flushing
If it is a catalytic cracking stabilizer, look for the cause in terms of operating procedures; after ruling out any changes in the feed composition, check whether the process parameters at the bottom and top of the tower deviate from those specified in the process sheet.
