Does anyone know the principle behind installing a cyclone separator in a desulfurization tower? Its function is to reduce hydrocarbon losses and prevent the amine solution from becoming emulsified with hydrocarbons. Could you explain how the principle works?
It should work on a principle similar to that of a cyclone separator: the airflow enters tangentially, rotates inside the device, and under the effect of centrifugal force, the heavier components accumulate on the wall of the device and flow downward due to gravity, while the gas is discharged from the top.
Have you used them before? Please recommend some manufacturers that produce cyclone separators for desulfurization towers!

A cyclone separator is installed primarily to improve gas-liquid separation. However, it is not possible to verify the separation efficiency using a cyclone separator, because the effectiveness of the wire mesh demister is unknown, making a comparative verification impossible.
